Roger Berchtold long time member passes. Funeral today

Post by FrankHarris » Sat Jun 01, 2019 1:41 pm

Roger never had a Model T but he did restore a beautiful 1917 Dodge Touring Car with "all-weather" side curtains for inclement weather and a prize winning 1931 Model A Ford Deluxe Coupe. He joined the Long Beach, CA Model T club because of our interesting tours and comradery. He liked to claim that anyone could ride with him when their Model T' broke down. His wife Mary passed away about five years ago and our friendship was welcomed by Roger and he assisted with Club functions for many years. Roger served on the Board of his Model A Club and was president several times. He was also a member of the Orange Empire Horseless Carriage Club and served on that board also. A celebration of life is being held today.
