Mother Lode Swap Meet - Changes

Post by jsaylor » Fri May 24, 2019 12:43 pm

The Mother Lode Swap Meet in Auburn, Ca., Sunday June 2, is normally held on the grass field at the Fairgrounds. Last weekend a large home show on the grounds and the rain significantly damaged the grass field. The Fair Board has suspended all use of the field until it dries out and can be repaired. So, we have to move up onto the parking lot for the meet. So when you arrived be patient follow our members instructions. Spaces will be the same size, same food (and pies!). Weather is forecast to be 80 and no rain. Look for the Forum meet space near the food booth at 10:30 am. Hope to see you there.

The weather man says it will be a nice day tomorrow! But I dunno? Right now it is raining! We had an "inch-an-hour" downpour about an hour ago, fortunately it only lasted for about ten minutes. Flash flood warnings locally. Sixty-four degrees outside at nine o'clock and hail the size of mothballs! (I am not kidding! It is as large as I have ever seen myself!)
We will see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully a great swap meet! I may be there myself.

I got there! Weather was great. In spite of the heavy thunderstorm last night and considerable rainfall at my house about thirty miles North, I saw NO mud in the swap meet or parking areas!
