I would try an "easy out" of the correct size.

A small Ease-Out tool, works like a tapered tap, threads in with opposite threads on the tool, allows simple twist with small wrench to remove that stub of the 1/8" pipe -thread petcock.
The best way is always the simplest. The attics of the world are cluttered up with complicated failures. Henry Ford

There are two types of Easy-outs, spiral and straight. For a small brass item like that I'd use a straight one.
The inevitable often happens.

The last one I had I used a square "cut" nail as a easy out. Drove it into the broken end of the petcock (just enough so it got a bite on the brass) and then vice grips to turn the nail/broken section out. A "old time" hack.

A good quality torx bit socket will work.
Drive a snug fitting one in till it bites.
I have used them to extract broken exhaust manifold bolts in cylinder heads before.

I have used the straight easy-out for that. If it doesn't take it out it will ream it down to the threads which can be picked out. Then clean up with a pipe tap. It will most likely come out easily.

When did I do that?

In my years in maintenance work I have found the the straight type Eze out usually work better than a spiral type. That twisted off petcock should come out fairly easy by the looks of it.

Hope you didn't bugger up the thread. That hole in 1/8 NPT (pipe not stright)
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

ehhhhh....3/8-24 is NOT a 1/8-27 pipe tap
you no longer have a tapered hole and if the drain is a tight fit it is only because it is now cross-threaded.
plan to use sealant
