John, that Bendix may not be for a T. To my eyes, the colar on the end of the spiral is not as wide as that on a T Bendix.
Hope this may avoid some angst.

This might be a Model A bendix. At first glance, they both look were very similar until you place them side-by-side.
To me, the collar is not as wide as Allan pointed out and of a larger diameter than the T, which is more in line with an A if I remember correctly.

Allen and Mark, Thanks!! Upon reading your comments I rushed to compare this bendix with two others and not only is the band 3/8" shorter but the spiral threads are in the opposite direction. John Iversen
