akuret oil gauge
I want a akuret oil gauge for my 1915 touring A reproduction one would be fine. I tried all of the t suppliers and nobody has one. Any ideas? Thanks, bobt

Bobt: I made my own. Used a brass elbow at the bottom, I think its called a street elbow, 1/2" copper tubing, a 3/8" brass bolt for the top. All painted black. Threaded to tube for the elbow and the 3/8" bolt. Drilled the bolt and drove in a length of 1/8" or 3/16" ss rod. Figured the hole thru the splash apron from underneath he car. Center punch marked the center of this hole. Taped the apron surface on the top to prevent paint damage and drilled the hole. Used a rubber grommet in the hole around the pipe. Looks good. Been there over 10 years. Marked the ss rod with a hacksaw for the full mark. It was a fun project. Bill
