I was asked by the local fire department to help them restore the above noted fire truck. They are looking for an engine, transmission and gas tank. Any help would be very much appreciated.
The department is a small town group and the younger members want to restore, but must submit costs for approval. They are located in Spencerville Ohio and I want to help them as much as I can.
Some time in the 60s, someone removed the TT engine and trans and replaced the with a Chevy 6 cylinder and power glide. They also cut the cross member to do it.
Any and all help/assistance is appreciated.

The Waterous Fire Truck and other equipment company was/might still be located in St. Paul MN. All of the older fire hydrants were made by that company. There are Waterous family members in the Twin City area.

Here is an old thread in the MTFCA My 2013 forum. mentions others who have a Waterous Fire Truck and more links. May provided some contacts - who knows they may have parts

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

Yes Waterous is still in business I know a gentalman that works for them. they make pumps, drives & accessories. I was at there facility once and they said they have drawings of almost everything they have ever made. Everything in the fire industy is very expencive. It sounds like the parts you are looking for are model T so they should be available. What crossmember did they cut out? Engine swaps are pretty common I have scene everything from Toyota engines to big block chevys in antique firetrucks. I just talked to the gentalman that works at Waterous and they have a couple of historyans if you email me I will give you there phone#s ssracer1955@aol.com
