Sold pending payment., Columbo Cross Drive Magneto very nice complete unit, ready to go
I have changed directions on the speedster project again. So I have a very nice Columbo cross drive magneto setup that I am selling. I have completely went thru the unit. It has nice original gears. I bought new springs for the pin drive nut The input shaft bearings and bushings are as new. I installed all new ball bearings in the shaft thrust collar. The design of the gears and pin drive make the gear set self aligning. It also comes with the adjustable fan bracket that is always missing. I have included a early steel hub fan. It has new bushings and a very good original shaft. The early style fan is what works best with a Columbo cross drive. Later fans will hit the oil filler neck. The magneto is a Bosch AT-4. They are similar to the DU-4 magnetos and use a lot of common parts. I have included a parts magneto that has a impulse coupling and I have also included a used "rag joint" Those parts will give the option of installing a impulse coupling. The mag is "hot" and sparks very well. I would recommend this to use on a engine with a starter "as-is. If wanting to put this on a non-starter engine I would suggest to convert to the impulse coupling. Without a impulse coupling they can be hard to "hand crank" This has the stock Columbo coupling. It consists of a pair of "notched" couplings and a key on a spring clip that covers the notched couplings. It is designed to give a very precise timing setup. I can explain how it works to the buyer. It is a very simple design that is easy to set. This is a bolt on ready to go setup. It would be very hard to piece together a set for what Im asking.
Please look at the photos and e-mail any questions
The price is 750.00 for all. plus actual shipping cost.
I do not have it boxed yet, since it was meant to sell at Chickasha. So I still need to box it up to figure shipping. I have shipped hundreds if not a thousand items all over the world. So it will be very safely packed. Please contact me thru the e-mail address shown in the last photo. The forum e-mail/message board is not a good choice. I sometimes miss e-mails from the forum. first come first served

This thing sold fast. Had several interested people, but since I only had one. Only one lucky buyer. This is one of those items from my own personal stash. It was just too nice to be a display item sitting on my shelf. As time permits, I will be posting some more nice items in the virtual swap meet.
