Jack Brewer did a nice job on my plate restoration and pricing was reasonable.

Duane Wells <michplates(at)comcast(dot)net> of Lansing Michigan does great work. He sold me a nicely restored plate for my '17 for $75.

Re: license plate/s restoration/repair
I have seen some restoration that were just too good I think the original plates were made to be adequate and not works of art. It is hard to make something less than perfect. I saw a restored T that had baked black enamel with brilliant chrome and it was just too good the builder also commented that it was somewhat over done. It may have been ok if it was a hot rod but it wasn't. I restored a rusted and dented steel licence plate, I lightly hammered out the dents and then painted the background black as original and the numbers were an orangey color. I had an old printing press roller and sprayed the color paint on it and with one pass covered the numbers with the orange color. The edges of the numbers were not perfect but the finished job looked very original.
