Post by Dan Hatch » Fri Feb 08, 2019 10:41 am

I have a question, does anyone know where full set of gaskets by Fel Pro can be brought at a good price? Got one set off amazon , then the price was doubled. WTF. If you do not want post here you can PM me. Thanks, Dan.

Check Rockauto.com
They carried them a couple months ago.

That's surprising,
How many do you need. I have a couple sets less the head gasket...they may be Victor though.

While it takes a little more time, you can order only the gaskets you need. You do not have to order the whole set. As most sets only come with the fiber type manifold set you still need to get them anyway.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Dan

Never have ordered or used Model T Fel-Pro set, but just looked at the set on eBay, and it isn't complete. Missing the front plate / timer cover gasket. And no felts for crank gear, but for me, I use Model A rope style. Think the Fel-Pro vintage gasket set is really overpriced for what you get for $150!

Always have used Lang's set, just order a fresh one w/o head gasket to put under the rear seat to carry on tours. Usually carry slightly used copper head gasket for need instead of a new one. Used copper gasket without a busted spot will get me or someone else home!

Lang's set, $19.95. Missing head gasket, but always order those copper ones separate @ $28. At least the Lang's set is complete with all gaskets, but the manifold gasket is the flat thing, better to use the rings and glands sold separate too.
