The day I brought my first Model T home, March 1981. I guess I didn’t trust the parking brake in the first photo, taken Christmas Day, 1982.

Re: My first T
My first one. I purchased it in March, 1997.
What a fun old truck.
It didn't come with a top, instead the previous owner attached a big umbrella.

By gum, you did it Jim!
You had a helluva lot more to start with than I did!
And tires with air in them!
Very cool!

Re: My first T
I got this T about 1958 as a collapsed 20 touring. I drove it in the fields as shown for a few years and then installed a ratty touring body. Finally in about 63 I found a nice roadster body and made it street legal. Had to sell it in 70 to help support a family

Re: My first T
Real nice. My first T and only T was a '26 Tudor out in the woods with a big tree growing up through it. Bought it in 1962 from a farmer for two dollars, and it's still out there in the woods ...

All, note that if the thumbnail for a picture is rotated funny, if you click on the thumbnail the original picture will show up in the correct rotation.

Re: My first T
I thought they were pretty cool until I removed one and found the original hubs drilled for Shay replica wheels and only 3 threads holding lug nuts on the rear.

Mine did the same thing ! In spite of all our acreage, he'd haul off everything
from parts to whole cars. And this was a guy who built Model A hotrods in the
early 50's ! Go figure !
Am I the only one a little concerned about the body in the trunk in your photo ?

Re: My first T
The dummy in the trunk is dressed in some sort of 1950's scanty outfit, likely part of a car show display. The owner may be from Providence, and those folks are used to having bodies in the trunk. The Model T is shown at its first car show, a casual local event. Won "best in Pre-War".

Oh my. Dallas, I didn't realize you were stuck with that plight/blight when you fell into the T world! Yikes! Like I should talk with the wheels on one of mine!
I've shown off my hunky clunker 24 Runabout enough I think.
Skyler, that looks darn good! You young punks are where it's at! More?

Re: My first T
I dragged this TT back to our farm with our old Farmall tractor when I was 16. I never got it running and eventually sold the parts and we hauled the frame out to the edge of the back field. Now I could get it going in a couple of weeks.

Re: My first T
Since I am a new guy, I aquired my first T, this 1915 touring car, a scant 2.5 years ago. I was warned the cars seem to multiply, and they have, we now have added a 1922 coupe and a 1923 coupe. Now the work will never end!
My wife is in the 1915 and I am on my 1925 BMW R32, the photo was taken last fall.

Re: My first T
Mine has been owned by me for less than a year...
It was assembled before I was born, and I went along for all the tours while still in diapers. After that, I was the one that made the whole group stop every 1/2hr so I could run in the bushes !!
I think it wasn't until the 80s when the old man fixed the chip in the locking steering wheel horn button, from me cutting my teeth on it. But I spent many hours helping my dad work on it and many other Ts !
The first car I ever drove was the Akron club assembly car, through a field behind Art's house.
Once a T gets into your blood, it stays forever.
