Just sent in my deposit.
Larry; We'll be going down the hill, it's an awesome view!!
You've just gotta take it slow and have external brakes.

Yes it's steep, but I don't see a reason for concern! I just put the car into low pedal, and down I went. After a quarter mile, I shifted into Ruckstell. I don't think I hardly ever touched the brakes.

We went on this tour last year and it was a heck of a lot of fun. Steve did a great job of planning it and it looks like this years tour will be even better. If you can, go. Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge in a Model T! It doesn't get any better than that.

This area has a lot to offer! It's not like driving up hwy 101. There are Redwood Groves and narrow two lane roads that haven't ever changed, except now they are paved. A wonder tour indeed. I would certainly consider going on this tour.

After 3 days touring in and around Marin County we will be spending 3 more days in and around the Alexander Valley.
There are two Model T-er rooms still available there in Healdsburg, CA. You really should come along.

As of today, there are 10 Ts and 20 T-ers committed to coming, ...with 5 more cars still on the fence watching the reopening.
Latecomers are most welcome. There are a half dozen spots available.

Sounds like a great tour. Point of interest, Glover Ruckstells Grand Father was the auditor on the Golden Gate project when it was built. Glen

Re: It's a GO!!! ..Golden Gate Tour "2.0", June 1st - 6th - Pioneering the Way Back
Those of us who are committed to touring in June are the pioneers of the "back-to-new normal". We will, of course, be following Marin and Sonoma Counties social distancing and all other guidelines as will those destinations we interact with. Both counties' Stay in Place Orders expire on May 31st. This Golden Gate Tour 2.0 is a good thing. We are excited to tour and expect to show others that it can be done without harm. So, why would some knucklehead now, less than 3 weeks before this club gathering, undermine it with a rotten post here?

As of May 18th, there are Ts coming from Utah, Arizona, and Northern and Southern California.
And, there are still a couple of "latecomer" spots available. So, Climb Aboard.

Hello Linus,
The answer to your question is yes. You may bring your 26 Lincoln on this tour. If you decide to join us your car will be #12. We would look forward to getting to know you in the hopes that you might invite our Model Ts to your club's Old Fashion Camp-Out later this year. That sounds like a lot of fun.
Cheers.
PS: There are still two late-comer spots available June 1st if anyone else would like to join us.

Looks like this tour just picked up another famous California Model T-er.
Does anyone recognize him?

That purple Center Door belongs to Mr Brad Lusk of the Motherload Club. He is a wonderful guy, chocked full of decades of Model T knowledge. What you may not know is that he recently had his leg fractured. He was disconnecting the drop-down ceiling bed in his big Toy-Hauler. When he turned his back, it came crashing down like a guillotine and pinned the poor guy to the floor breaking his leg. He is on the mend now.

MTFCA member #29 will be celebrating his 91st birthday on this tour. Here he is way back in 1960 with his '09 Touring and his dingy The Titanic.
