Restoring a 1920 Coupe. Looking for a source for the moldings that go around the side windows. Moldings are secured to the glass and slide in the metal channels when opening the side windows. Any help appreciated

Fords body parts book showing the pre 23 Coupes interior. Don’t know if all the pre 23 Coupes were the same but the metal trim strips go around the window frames. Not sure if there were any metal strips going around the windows themselves. Click on the pic to rotate it. Sorry about that!

The glass has a fabric covered metal channel on the sides and bottom. The channel in the pillars are bare wood.

Wish all the photos of my 21 were not on a hard drive that crashed!

I seem to recall asking where I could get the channels that fit in the pillars because of their odd shape. The 22/23 were different the earlier coupes, they used the slotted piece on the window that the locking lever fit into instead of the lifting strap. This link might help (?)

Well I stand corrected!

I found the photographs I took of my 21 when I was de-contructing it. I have to get my scanner re-installed and will post what I found.

Before you ask, the ones shown in the photos are long gone. You might want to put ads here, Facebook, fordbarn.com etc and watch eBay. Not an item that is reproduced so you are going to have to do some searching. If you have them or samples, you may have to repair what you have or see about having them made.

Have to agree with Mark G. Usually you can find most of the body parts or pieces for T open cars and most body parts are being reproduced.
But the closed car body pieces and body parts are a little different story. Most closed car body specific parts aren’t being reproduced. I have a 24 Coupe that had a pretty complete body, trim pieces and interior parts so I consider myself lucky.
But it did take me over 3 years to locate the correct window riser mechanism for the drivers side!
If you know of another car like yours it might help to look at it to see what you need and try to fabricate it.

I have a five gallon bucket of metal trim pieces some are for coupes and fordors but the others I have no ideal, if you can give me lengths I will look to see if I have any.
