What "Barn find" would you like to find" and buy.
I assume we are looking for early Fords, but do not limit yourself to Model T Folrds. My choice would be a Model K, perhaps a late production one. My other choice would be the original engine from Model T number one, for the original engine was replaced soon after assembly.

Typically I'd reply Ford Model B, or a 1908 built two pedal two lever Model T. However, I saw this car sell at an RM auction at Hershey several years ago, and still think about it. With a long hood, it resembles a six cylinder car of the period. I suspect the long hood would give more battery space for better range and performance. It would be something to take on early brass tours.

A steam car, any one would be nice, but a Doble would be over the top (except I probably can't afford to restore it, so a Stanley would be more realistic).
Perry, I KNOW I couldn't afford the upkeep on your Barn Find!

I would be happy finding the correct back half of a 1920 Dodge Brothers touring with fenders to make mine correct and maybe a hood. Ok maybe 5 usable 33X4 tires too! I would be sorta elated if it were a whole complete body with top.

Almost any pre-1930 car that would be within my means to restore or any pre-1946 airplane. I had a pilot friend once who was called by a lady who was selling her property which had featured a small grass airport in the 1930's. She said she had some old airplane parts of her husband's in a barn and he could have them so she wouldn't have to pay to have them hauled to a dump. Not expecting much, he found a complete, disassembled WACO Cabin Biplane. She just wanted it removed but he forced her to take $500....feeling guilty even then. I should have such luck....

Boat people have a saying, that boats are just a hole in the water that
you pour money in to ....
Are airplanes just a hole in the sky that one pours money in to ???

Honestly, my ultimate barn find would be one of these:

Not just any steam locomotive, but an 1880's narrow gauge Consolidation
type freight hauler in it's original 1880's form, as seen here. Not a very
practical toy, but who's counting ?

High powered motor with a spinning shredder blade on the front, that you rev up as fast as you can, stand in front of it, and throw bundles of hundreds at.

I don't know why Perry's barn find came with a gun and mine has a chicken?
She was only the farmer's daughter but all the horse men knew her!

When I was young I wanted a f4F Fighter
Later in life it was a Porsche 550A.
In my down hill years I would settle with the Porsche 356 Convertible D that I sold so that we could buy our house in Tucson.

John, the girl in your barn is prettier and she ain't packing a pistol. There's nothing funny about a woman with a gun.
For me it would be a Jaguar XK-150 S. I owned one for a few years back on the sunny slopes of long ago. That car was pure fun and with the right exhaust system Jags make the best stack music of any six cylinder engine ever made.

I wouldn't mind having my Waco UEC/OEC back but the Piper J-5 that is in the hangar would have to go.
I traded the Waco that needed recovering for a J-3 Cub. The Waco ended up in England.
