I think those are top bow brackets. They sit in the saddle and keeps the bows from rattling around. I’m going from an old memory so may be waaaay off, Darryl

You must know me too well…….. hurry back with info. Jay posted an apco catalog a looong time ago, but I couldn’t find it online. I have an apco cut sheet but it only shows about a half dozen things.

Thanks Mark, I printed that so I’d have it. Darryl, rough nights sleep. What did you find out? I’ve seen those straps as singles over the years, but never a pair.

I still have no answer, looks like another sleepless night in wonderland. Tim, I tried them on my '14 as a top bow holding gizmo, they do not sit in the saddle, nor do the bends line up with the shape of the stacked bows. Maybe for a later model ? Mark, I looked through all the Apco stuff you posted, and did not see them. They may also not be a "pair " item, I just happen to have two or three. Apco thought they were wonderful enough to patent them, now just to figure out for what.

Glad to see people getting some use out of the literature I made available on the forum and Ford fix site!

Jay, I don’t think a week goes by where I haven’t referred to one of your old posts. I only wish a couple pennies would float to you somehow for every time someone does so. It would be raining money out there.
Nobody has seen it all, but if anyone has, it would be you. What the hell are these straps? I need some sleeeeeep! Hugs, buddy !

Where are they stamped APCO and what are the dimensions?
Trying to vision how it might function - it appears to be hinged, can it open all the way back or just part way.

I’m ready for that Eureka moment. Could it have held a jute rug on a running board?

Those are the bracket pieces for a set of APCO Shimmy Stops. Fit around the drag link and tie rods with coil springs for assist.
Photo is poor, but shows portion of box of a set of NOS ones.
