With that vaporizer carburetor it may be a 1927. Take a look at the engine and frame numbers. The frame number will be on top of the right hand frame just in front of the passenger seat. Post that number and someone here can tell you the date it was made. Also top wood kits are available from the US vendors as well as the top material kit.

My Grandfather was a Burkhardt of German decent. had a model T shop in the 20s and 30s. across the road from The church in the photo with My yellow 26 touring. Established by German settlers in 1965 and the Church in the photo built by German Church members in late 1800s after the first one burned.They had services in German until the mid 1950s.

but the 1926 is the same as the 1927 Model T or did the 1926 not have this carburetor?
I have a problem with the first gear
at the beginning he was still only now no adhesion is there anymore.
Only second gear and reverse functions
Are there friction pads in there and how can I fix it? Does the complete engine have to get out of gear?
or is that easier?

Welcome to the insanity, Patrick.

You need to check out your low band. Adjustment is done simply from outside the hogshead/transmission cover.
I would probably take of the inspection cover and look at the drums and check the other bands also.

The 1926 model year used the NH carburetor and has a hole through the block for the throttle linkage. In 1927, the vaporizer was used and the linkage goes over the top with no hole in the block between cylinder 2 and 3. You English is fine. Patrick. You can down load books and information on the transmission with drawings and details on how the transmission and all the other parts of the car fit together and work. The transmission has three bands similar to the bands / clutches used in modern automatic transmission's. and the friction / band tightness can be adjusted inside the transmission / Hogshead with a adjustment tool. Low band. Reverse band and Brake pedal band. not to be confused with the emergency / parking brake leaver on the floor that activates the two rear drum brakes and puts the car transmission in neutral. The transmission goes into high gear when You take Your foot off the left pedal which releases the clutch if brake leaver is all the way forward. I hope I am not over simplifying, I am still a "Novice" with much to learn.

Welcome. Beautiful car you got there. Looks like it will be fun. My wife is over there near Duesseldorf this week for work. She tells me there are a few T guys working with her so there are others in country you can hook up with.

Is it kind of "hilly" where you are? I have friends/family in Taunusstein, Hesse a bit north, and from what I've heard
and seen on photos, seems like a lot of winding, hilly roads, not great for model T driving. Just wondering!
