I got a bag of these condensers from a friend, are they just old stock? Are they fine to use?
Looks like the ones the vendors sell are orange.

What is the dv/dt specification for this component? If you don't know it, (or if the value is less then 700 Volts/Microsecond) don't use it b/c it will likely fail in a short time. The capacitors offered by vendors as "high dv/dt capacitors" are rated in the 1,700 V/Micro-Sec range. Personally, I would not use any capacitor in a coil rebuild that did not meet the dv/dt criteria discussed in this article : https://www.mtfca.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=23877 Good luck with your project, jb

They are metallized mylar type internal construction and hence not suitable for use in Model T Ford ignition coil rebuilding.
