I don't like the way the carb mixture rod is so far under the dash of my car and have seen the improved cars with the choke/mixture controls integrated.
Is that something I could retrofit onto my 24 Touring?

Sure can - need to acquire a couple different pieces but easy job. I modified a stock brass one for the '14 w/electric start that looks origianal from the cockpit.

What, besides the improved car rod and knob, is needed?

Thanks everyone.
I put a want ad in the classifieds for a old set. If none turn up, I think I can put a new assembly together from Langs. The thought of a shiny new knob sticking out of my dashboard kind of gives me the willies

but I'll do what I have to do.

Whatever you do, be sure to save the old parts, because some day when you or your estate want to sell the car, the purchaser might want to restore it to stock.
