A friend came by yesterday with a Ford jack for me. It is manufactured by Buckeye, with the Ford block lettering. Do you know if this would be used on a 1911 model? I am looking for a handle for this jack.

I've found traces of silver paint on mine too.

Maybe the question could be; Did the Ford tool kit include a jack in 1911 and if so, what type was it and what did it look like.

If I read the info in the links right, Ford did not include a jack in the tool kit in 1911 and that would be about 1913 style jack.

Anyone who has one of those Buckeye jacks is darn lucky to have one. I don't care if they used them in 1911 or not! When you have a flat you need a jack! That would certainly be more appropriate than one from Harbor Freight!

Thanks so much for the responses. Guess that I will place this jack under the seat of my 1911 Torpedo, with a home made handle. At least it is different from the normal Model T screw jack.
