Wasn’t there a project several years ago to reproduce a certain amount of Model T’s. It may have been to celebrate the the centennial of the 1909 Model T. I recall it was discussed on the forum for a short time, but never heard anything else about it. How many were made and what became of them? Jim Patrick

I believe it was called Fords T-100 project
A little while back there was a thread called “2003 model T” It had a lot of different links on the subject. Try a search for that. Iam not sure how to add the link.

They were 1914 Models from memory and if I recall right the build quality of some components was/materials used, were poor. Specifically the engine blocks.

Very few were made.... those that were are being used at Greenfield Village to give rides. From what I understand the new parts made with today's technology didn't hold up and most of the components have been replaced with 110 year old original parts.

It would be interesting to know if this is true and if so, some of the specifics. In the main, it seems not at all unusual if it's so. For some reason, reproduction parts are all too often not truly reproductions, but "sort of close" in most aspects, which may fill a void for a movie prop, but won't stand the gaff in service. The same goes for so many retro-fitted "improvements" that end up being troublesome.

There were 6 of the 1914 model t touring cars reproduced for the 100th anniversary of Ford Motor Company.

Search this form around early 2000s for T-100. You will out who all had a hand in this project.

I believe the original plan was to make 100 of them. But they would have been new cars that didn't meet modern safety and emission standards, and therefore not street legal. So they made six that are driven on private property (Greenfield Village). They never venture out on public roads.

I found this video about six months ago. These are two guys who kept those cars running at the museum. It is very informative in general and answers a lot of the questions you may have.

Sooo...there are more than 15 million Model T's out there! I knew it!

Memory tells me "Engine Joe" Bell also supported them regarding the engines.

Side note...Bluffton, Ohio..not Bellevue.

From what I can find, there were only 6 made. I heard from the Forum that 4 of them are with Greenfield village. One is overseas, and one is with a museum somewhere in the United States. This is from the old Forum, so I do not know if the information is still up to date.
