I cleaned up the parts in the bead blaster. The gear teeth look great. Bracket cleaned up nice. I removed the part where the cable attaches to the head and cleaned all the old grease out. All the gears in the housing move freely.

Early steering gear case #2

Here is a steering gear case, cover and quadrant.
The quadrant is attached to a cut off gear case.
One of the holes for the spark and one of the holes for the throttle lever are broken out. Should be okay once it is inside the column tube.

Here is an early brass steering gear case, cover and quadrant. The whole thing has been cut off from the column. Nice sharp teeth on the quadrant.

Gear 11077 rusty but should clean up nice. Little to no wear on the the teeth.
Bracket 11295 rusty also but solid.
Cable head with gear very rusty where the cable goes into. Seized but may be usable for parts.

I'm trying to date a Low Head and found the term "Fingerprint Head" being used. Does having the fingerprint boss on the head in anyway help date them. This head I'm looking at has the fingerprint boss on the back, it has Ford script and Made in the USA
Does that in anyway help date it.

Accessory Bosch timing gear cover

This timing gear cover is for the Bosch magneto that has the 3 gears in a case and driven off the cam. That is why there is no provision for a timer. Stamped 61788. Nice shape.

I was looking through some Model T parts I have and notice a camshaft that had “Cal Cams 256 Brad” marked on it.
I measured the lift at .276. I suppose “Brad” was the Cam grinder.

Yes, these are one piece plugs. I put them in and went for a drive. Wow, I love these plugs. I was using Champions before which were good but needed cleaning. I hope these Wizards stand the test on time.
