I was able to salvage my four dip pan that came to me with bolted on repair ears. I had a rusted out three dip pan that had the correct three rivet ears and I used a frame checked for square to align everything before tack welding them in place so I could remove the bolts and rivet and braze.

To answer your question about what compression would be expected for a model T engine. Opinions vary about what is acceptable.
For a rebuilt engine, 55 to 62 psi is what I would expect. At 40 psi, the engine will run ok, but not what I would want. At 50 psi, I would probably leave it alone.

Thanks Jerry, the bolts are all the same length and don't protrude from the thumb screws. Of course, I have no idea if the bolts or thumb screws are original. I will double check the timing and also check the thumb screws against those on my 15. there has to be some way I can get a little more clearance.

The Perfecto predates the Hall Scott / Ruckstell rear axle assembly.
The Ruckstell book - - Goes over the history.
I think of it as a generation 1 part and an evolutionary step getting to the Ruckstell we are familiar with.
The only problem I know of it is not common and hard to get parts for if needed.
Those who run them say good things....

Ok worked on it some more this weekend.

Engine has no coils and is converted 12v with Bosch distributor. Gas tank is clean, new fuel lines and fresh rebuilt Holley NH. Water & oil all changed and fresh.

Engine runs fine and has decent compression...

That's actually a 1970s ignition lock. It goes on the steering column and covers the ignition switch.
