Re: Vintage authenticity?

.....a friend who's wisdom I have come to respect once gave me a sticker to place in a not to obvious location on my speedster. The sticker reads as follows: "I did not build this car to please you. I built it to please me" Well informed source attribute the quotation to HKL. Cheers....enjoy your ca...

Hank Lee vs Spenser

For those of you who have eagerly awaiting the next installment of the modified Fat Man wheel saga, here it is! The wheel arrived this morning and was promptly installed. Having it's diameter reduced by 3", the concave dish removed and a new 14" black walnut rim (by Mr. Kevin Allen) added has given ...

Re: When a Fat Man Steering Wheel Does Not Fit the Fat Man

I wish to take exception to Mr. Lee's unkind remarks relating to my girth. While I'm not petite nor am I excessively overweight. The problem is due to having to lower the steering column (via u-joints..Thank you Hank) because of the low hood and longer profile. The problem was also exacerbated by a ...

Re: Richard A Currier's Horseless Carriage Co. any one have feed back?

I bought a racer kit from Currier over a year ago. The purchase process was a trial....trying to get any information or answers to questions was difficult as Mr. Currier seems to have an aversion to any sort of communication. The kit finally arrived and brought on even more questions as there are NO...

I am in the process of assembling my 1917 Speedster and have come up with a question (not the last one) for the forum. What kind of fuel line would be best....brass or steel or......?

Kind words Mr. Lee, I am honored. Many Thanks to you, Patti, Dad and P-Bear for a marvelous visit and education! As some of the Forum readers may know, Hank was kind enough to do some fabrication for a Speedster wanna-be without the proper tools and knowledge to build on. I had bought a Currier Spee...

I am preparing to bolt my Currier speedster body (basically a buck board) to the frame and have been wondering about the best method / product to seal the underside. Hoping that the collective wisdom of the Forum might be able to shed some light on this for me.
