Alan, more concerned with the brass and material getting into Babbitt and the quick wearing of the drums. This stuff feels like 60-80 grit sandpaper.

Re: What Oil Should I Use in My Fip Top Oilers?

Any motor oil, it takes on a rebuilt front axle assembly overnight to lubricate the spindle bushings top and bottom. You should see oil spots under the spindle bolts or the lubricant isn’t lubricating the bottom bushing.

Re: I am putting a starter on my 1916 coupelet.

Enjoy yourself, life is too short not to, a starter is an excellent accessory and easy to remove for anyone not wanting the improvement. Any and all of my cars I rebuild, gets a ring gear flywheel equipped addition, easy to add starter later, if needed.

Re: A picture is worth 1,000 words with Steve Jelf

Was cold 30° and fog was setting in, so didn’t spend a lot of time outside. Steve, Merry Christmas one wish fulfilled today, he wanted to see a T ...

Next trip, I plan on taking him some Vintage Ford to read. I might drive over tomorrow Sunday afternoon and spend a few...

Was told by local ER to stay home and continue self treating, taking care of myself and drinking lots of water. I took Tylenol severe cold and flu, it worked on the cough and kept me able to sleep off and on, g...
