Can you help identify this?

Can anyone identify what car this headlight fork is used on? I bought it at a swap meet for a friend thinking it was possibly for his T, not so. It measures 7-1/2” from fork to fork. The numbers “2874” are on it. The threaded end is 9/16 -18. The small hole is 5/16” dia. Any ideas for its applicatio...

I passed it around at the T club meeting last night. No guesses as to what its use was. If it had been modified in the past, the rim showed no tool markings on the inside of the rim where it might have been welded and ground down. I’m just curious enough to see what’s under the paint. I think you’re correct. I held the back side up to bright light and it appears there are indications that cuts were made between at one of the outside steel pads. They did a decent job of hiding their modification. Thanks for your response.
