Re: Where were Model T engines made?

So the number on the block will be off from days to months from the day the car was actuality assembled. Seems the standard we've been using for years is seriously flawed. Is there any record of what numbers were allotted to which factories making engines or what numbered engines went to which assem...

Re: Appropriate gas tank for 1922 Center Door Sedan

I think most of the vendors use the first part of the Ford number followed by a letter or/and number for their own inventory purposes. There was a time when Ford (Motor Co.) claimed possession of the parts book numbers and vendors had to invent their own, but that seems to have been resolved. Likely...

There is a 1909 2 lever, #9110, right hand drive, in Albreta Canada, on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1909-Ford-Model-T-Roadster-Runabout/153633880733. Is it real? The person that listed it doesn't seem to be a T person. I'm not an '09 expert but I'm sure there's one on board. Don't see it mentione...

All of a sudden you can't buy oils like Pennzoil 10W-30 It seems that oils were no longer adequate for engines with turbochargers, etc. so they have changed the spec and the only oils available are synthetic and rated for your turbocharger. Re: Sand Blasting a Model T

I don't think warping is caused by the heat, rather by the peening action of the grains of blasting media. I have bead blasted too many chassis parts to count but I will not media blast sheet metal! Paint stripper, but that has its own problems healthwise.

Original Upholstery ?

I have looked at many things on my 1921 coupe that make me think that it was a solid original car with not a lot of use when it was "restored" in the mid 1980's. It was carefully stored in 1987, and saw light of day next in November of 2018. One thing I wonder about is the upholstery on the seats an...

I need to replace the tires on my 1921 Coupe as they are a bit hard and at least 32 years old. The demountable rims were painted silver when the car was restored in th...

Re: Whats the Name of your T?

“The T” worked fine on the ‘13 until a ‘21 coupe entered the picture. So “the T” ‘s friend was named after a long loved golden retriever, named after a car, in the garage when the golden came home, Lizzie. Disney be d#$@d. Cars are not conciously named, they just come along.
