Looking at several period parts books, it appears that the part number either duplicates with other parts or changes over years ? ?
The John Andrews, Ford agents in Auckland's parts listing for 1917 has a totaly different number.

Part no. 3539C that attaches steering column to chassis rail. Will be made as mirror image of standard unit.
Most likely to surface in Australia, U.K., New Zealand or Argentina right hand drive markets ?
I could actually make use of 2 of them.

I have looked up the past discussions and the subject has been well covered but it appears some say not to oil the new wood ?
