Re: crank shaft/piston arm question
Magnafluxing T cranks is a must and the cost is insignificant as compared to the cost of an engine rebuild. Also, crank ringing method is not a good test of whether or not a crank is broken. Here some pics to consider: In Pic # can you spot the issue? 20220221_115246.jpg Here's a Pic of the same cra...

I use the Model A rope seal on all my T's, much better than felt. Snyder's has them. You need two. Insert them and then cut them flush with the pan and /or timing cover.

Adam,
I don't believe that's how you measure the lift of a camshaft. It's a ratio calculated by the lobe nose to heel measurement minus the measurement of the base circle.

What was the bore size before honing? That will make a better determination on whether or not you need to sleeve the engine. You have a low oversize bore, you should be able rough bore it out the damage to clean it up then bore and then hone to the proper size for the next oversized piston size that...

Ford did not introduce the closed cab truck to the public until 29 April,1925, which still would have been a 1924 model year truck. Ford model years ran from August to July back then, which tend to confuse folks. So a TT made between Jan-July 1925 would have been a 1924 model year truck and so regis...

The standard factory color for those years would have been black. However, Ford did do custom colors for fleet purchases. The pedal shaft spacing on the 26/27 hogs head between the brake band and low speed band is wider to insure the brake pedal shaft is centered over the wider brake drum and band. You CANNOT use a 26/27 hogs head on a narrow band transmission as a third of brake band will be hanging off the narrow bra...

Robert,
Keep in mind that the diameter of fan hub and the crank belt pulleys were different between 1915 and 1927, so if using a 1915 fan hub with 1927 crank pulley it will more than likely result in a nonstandard belt sizing.
