Are there any alternatives to the original set up? Is it possible to use either a Prestolite tank or Coleman camp fuel ...

Re: Kingston L4 Float setting
Thank you Mark, I appreciate your reply. My Ford Carburetor book is (c)1988. P. 11 is absent any relevant information. So, if I invert the body of the L4 and adjust the float measuring 180 degrees from the hinge; from the machined surface to the top of the installed float is 7/16 inches. Sorry to be...

Kingston L4 Float setting
I have located a couple of articles and consulted the MTFCA Carburetor book and cannot determine the proper setting for the float. One says one inch, another says 15/16'. Neither specifically mentions how or where to measure (e.g., from the machined surface to the float top; from the surface of the ...

Balancing transmission drums in VA
I live in N. Virginia and am seeking someone who can static balance the two transmission drums. It requires a mandrill and knife edges or the tool used by machinists to statically balance items. The technique is used by Mike Bender in his YouTube Model T Tips #17. Anyone near by? Suggestions? I am a...

2d Gear Difficulty
The engine is new, transmission rebuilt with watts clutch, rebuilt rear end, engine idles well on battery or magneto. First gear and reverse seem to work normally. Going from low to 2d gear the entire engine shudders and refuses to smooth out in spite of feathering the clutch. Clutch fingers are adj...
