I put the ‘26 Touring in the trailer ,,so I could work on the ‘29….
I’m waiting for warm weather to install the top on the restored bows ..

I got my new wood all riveted into the the bows on the ‘26 …Going to sand and seal the wood again ,,and give the irons sanding ,,primer and paint…Going to wait for spring to install the top…. Took her for a little Thanksgiving drive this afternoon …..42 degrees outside ,,,so we didn’t go far … Thank...

I just got a quote for 800 miles from me ,,just to get an idea of cost …

I have the RIVITS ….They are hollow…That reference to the older post was helpful…

I’m working on a `26 touring .. It came with a nice set of top bows,,wood kit for bows,,and the rivets ….. I got it all fit and ready to drill and install rivets..I have the backup tool but wonder what the driving tool looks like to round it over … They have a hole down the center ….. Should I heat ...

I have a 26 Touring Car …. It has 30x3 1/2’s right now ,,but I have a set of 5 wires & hubs ….My problem is ,,I’m missing on brake drum … The vender I talked to said “wire wheel “ drums weren’t available ..are Drums the same ,,wood ‘n wire ,,just different hole pattern …?? Yes car has Big Drum rear ...

What material is the packing on the 26/27 fuel shutoff valve …The vendor was out ,,I guess I could look at others … If it’s leather I have scraps I can cutout a new one …. I’m using a small valve ,,into a glass bowl filter now…I want it to look more like a mechanic worked on it not a plumber ;0)…. T...

On my ‘26 Touring the top bows ,that fit into the irons , have a “tenon” cut on them … Does anyone have the length ,between tenons on all four bows ..I’m most concerned about the #1 & #4 bows … The ones on them right now ,,look original ….But are different than the ones in the kit I got with the car...

I’ll look at my parts in the AM …..Would they be Brass ..?? Or special size …I’ll gather mine a snap a photo …

This is funny …. A repro apron came with my car ,26 Touring .. I got it out today …I was wondering the order it went in … Wha-la here it is …I do hafta bend the tab over ,,locate where hole goes and drill …. Also need to put the slots in where “tabs” for bright trim goes,,but this has helped… I need...

OK,OK,,,,,,Y’all convinced me …….!!!! I just ,,two days ago ,,took the driver’s side off ….. I don’t have the one for the passenger side ,,,so I guess I’ll be on the lookout for a ‘26 passenger side one …. I wonder how I got along all these years ,,without ‘em…… Just getting this ‘26 on the road ….A...

THANKS AGAIN GUYS…, I got four of them apart … The “freezing” did the trick ,,,or maybe a combo of all the tips Gunna buy new screens,,gaskets ,,lap the valves …. Not sure if I can get the lube locally but I’ll figure out something … I have a 26/27 to do for my car ,,,need to find a drain valve for ...

Good to be back… Went awhile without a T or a TT.. Only had room in my garage for one old car … So..the T & TT were sold to park my 1948 Ford Station wagon… Moved to Western Slope CO. Have a nice barn and workshop..So I got a T to tool around on the country roads where I live .. Carl,,,over here at ...
