Re: Just to make sure...
The Hayes wheels on my car have a makers mark with a patent date on the inside of the steel fellow. You have to remove the rim to see it. If I remember correctly it was stamped close to the hole for the valve stem. Hope this helps.

Fun with frames
It was a busy day on Sunday with Frames. Dad and I are working on several Model T projects (some future some current) and decided to work together with the help of my brother-in-law and nephew to make the job easier. We had 3 frames in various conditions. We straightened one frame but the biggest ch...

Don,
Your frame is the same as the one I bought. I did not get the tour body support brackets but the frame is drilled for them.

You have a touring that someone cut the back seat off of. This was a fairly common way to turn you touring car into a pickup.

Re: Check your wheels
Another check that I do on my 21 touring with demountable wheels is to tap the spokes with your knuckle. A loose spoke will sound differently than a solid one. I do this every time I wash the car even with new wheels. I also look for excessive paint chipping at joints.

Check your wheels
I was driving a new to the family Model T today and the right front wheel collapsed while making a left turn in a busy intersection . Thankfully no one was hurt and the car was not damaged. The wheels appear to be originals that had been “restored”. This incident could have been much much worse! Mak...

Re: Mounting of Bulb Horn in 1914 Touring
I have a 14 roadster with original wood. My horn bulb is mounted approximately 14 inches from the firewall 2 inches down from the top of the body. There is a 1” by 4” by 2” block of wood below the top rail of the body for the horn bulb to mount to. I hope this helps.

Today was a good day!
Today I got to spend the day with two of my favorite people doing my favorite thing. I spent the day in the garage with my Dad, Russ Furstnow, and son Jordon. We were restoring the fenders for my son’s 1925 Model T pickup. It was absolutely fantastic to watch my Dad pass on his knowledge to Jordon. ...
