Re: Polarity of battery
I did not do anything to the car. I am just wondering if there was another way of checking. Cutout? I do think that if the ammeter goes into negative when I switch on the lights polarity is correct, or am I wrong? Plus, what damage can it do?

Polarity of battery
I picked up this 1926 roadster last week. It came without a battery. I’ve read here that model T is negative ground. The battery clamps however suggest that mine is postive ground (one connector is slightly bigger). I hooked it up as negative ground. Engine starts, if I switch on the headlights, amp...

Re: Title help wanted from overseas
Thanks for your answer, I totally agree. I am definitely not looking for an illegal solution or fake title. Our Dutch DMV will smell that from a mile away. I have been Googling for requesting a new title or a reissue but I am looking for a trustworthy option, so far shady companies offered me to buy...

Title help wanted from overseas
Hello, I know it is a long shot but I will try anyway. I live in The Netherlands in Europe and I bought a Model T project (will be speedster), engine number 7034568. So apparently January 1923. It has no papers whatsoever, but it must have come from the USA at some point. Or may be even the engine o...

Permatex #2 sealant
I was reading an old post from 2016 about using Permatex - but I could not find the answer. Gasket sealant was used on my engine (oil pan, transmission housing), but I cannot recall on which side of the gaskets it was applied? Do you apply it on both sides of the gasket? IMHO it would make sense to ...

Fender info needed
I found these really nice Speedster like fenders. They are pretty straight forward, no splash inner part. Also no brackets or anything to install them.
Does any know what these are? And if someone makes brackets for them?
(photos are upside down, sorry must be the iPhone)
Thanks!
Mel

Re: 7 leaf front spring, clamps do not fit
It is a 1916 however I got it in parts so I am not sure if it all belonged to the same car originally. Also, I have two sets of springs (both 7 leaf). The bolt fits fine. It is just that the clamp does not extent long enough to get the bolt in (not sure if this is understandable, I am Dutch :D ). I ...

7 leaf front spring, clamps do not fit
May be anyone knows: I have a 7 leaf front spring (not sure which year - I can find out later), which I am restoring. The newly ordered spring clamps do not fit however. The ends for the bolt are too short, at least for the spring that has the holes to fit the clamp. What am I missing? Wrong year? D...

Re: Stewart 1276 speedo disassembly
I tried to post a picture yesterday. I will check the instructions. I did find a link to a photo, I hope that works for now:

Stewart 1276 speedo disassembly
I like to restore my Stewart 1276 speedometer.
However, I cannot take it apart. I am just able to unscrew the back and a chrome ring but that is blocked by the dat counter reset knob. I don’t want to break anything.
Does have anyone experience with this?
