Yes I knew Jake .I have restored several NRS cars over the years . I used to go to Rosanky were he keep his car to take pictures and look it over . When he first restored it . He had what look like a 1903 back on the set . He later changed it to the Model N Look .

If the drive train was restored be for you got the car it could be that you need a shim in the torque tube . This would take pressure off the back of the crankshaft making it easier to hand crank . I had this same problem in a rebuilt 1911 .This was the fix .
