Re: 1918 Model T Ford Coupelet Body Brass Era

I thought the purpose of this club was to keep the Model T hobby going. What difference does it make where a part is listed ? If someone listed a part I had been looking for, I wouldn't care if their listing took me to E-bay, Craig's list, Online yard sale, Hemming's or a local news paper add. I wou...

I think what is being said is that the threads are the same, touring or pickup, but the pickup iron has a taper before the treads instead of the abrupt diameter change the touring iron has. Anyway, does anyone have one or a good drawing of one so I can make a pair?

Yes the earlier fenders had a washer between the fender and the running board. In '25 the fenders were modified to have a raised area around the bolt holes, eliminating the need for the washer. R. V. Anderson makes a bolt kit for the fenders & running boards that has the correct washer included.

Re: Luray Swap Meet

Larry, I feel the same way about the west coast meets. Maybe someday I will make a trip out west.

Re: WTB Ford Wrenches

Thank you Allan, but I am trying to collect just 5-Z tools. And I have just the four listed above to find. Those will complete the collection of all the tools listed in the May 1925 parts catalog.

Re: 1925 Runabouts

I have a late '25 Roadster (July '25), but sadly when it was "restored" some time in the '70's the tool tray and any trace of the brackets were lost. I am not sure it would be worth the trouble to try to fit them at this point. Maybe if I ever do a total restoration.

Re: ***Fan Assembly***

One note on the nuts. You have the wrench size listed, instead of the thread diameter. 11/16 should be 7/16, and 3/4 should be 1/2

Re: Tool help

Also, the threaded outer bearings are expensive, you can use a non threaded '28-'48 outer bearing that would just slide in the spindle to get you rolling again

Re: Tool help

That being the left wheel, it is standard right hand thread. I would be sure to have bearings for the replacement wheel before you go. The bearings in the hub on the ground may not be any good, and might fall apart as you dis assemble.

Re: Boiled linseed oil for pickup box

Also when working with linseed oil, do not pile up used rags or put them in a bucket. They are easily combustible.
