Re: Carb adjustment knobs with arrow

Here are pictures of the carb knobs on two original 1911 model year cars, a July and May car both with the two screw mount on the firewall. I can't speak explicitly for 1910 cars but my understanding is that the earlier knobs may have an undercut in them. The photos I am attaching are both flat on t...

Thank you.

I should have been more clear, looking for one for a 1911 car. This is an all brass lamp, two tiers, and without the holes in the upper chimney.

WTB Original E&J Pat 1908 Tailight for a 1911

Hi,

I am looking for a good quality, original tail light that doesn't need to be restored. Specifically looking for a E&J Patent 1908 tail lamp.

Please email me through the forum if you can help.

WTB Good spiral wound Hyatt rear axle bearings

Hi everyone, I'm looking to buy some good Hyatt roller bearings for use in my rear end rebuild for my Torpedo. If anyone has spares with tight cages and rollers hopefully pretty close to .500" please let me know. Ultimately would need a quantity of four but certainly willing to put together a piece ...

Re: Brass windshield bumpers

I had both a Rands and an Automatic ‘11 Torpedo windshield. The Automatic had the screws in place for the bumpers and the Rands had original bumpers intact. Here’s a picture of the Rands.[image][/image] Here is a photo of a late 1910 square tank Torpedo courtesy of the Detroit Public Library showing...

Re: Torpedo firewall bracket

Andre,

I responded to your post last year on this with a few dimensions. https://www.mtfca.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=26704

Let me know if I can be of any other help with dimensions or anything else. I had detailed engineering drawings made for these brackets.

FS - 1911 Torpedo/Open Runabout Floorboards - Free shipping, see pictures

Have a set of new floorboards I purchased at Luray last year that I don’t need anymore. Made by Jonathan Anderson for an ‘11 Torpedo. Would like to get back what I paid for them, $210. Willing to ship domestically at my expense.

Feel free to reach out.

Thanks,
Austin

Re: Looking for front axle repair service or access to a Stevens front axle repair tool in NJ/NY/PA/CT area

I have brand new .502” kingpins and new bushings in the spindles so I don’t expect play there. I was told the axle would need new threads on the bottom, so that’s what I need to use the tool for. The potential bend in the axle is another issue.

Re: Looking for front axle repair service or access to a Stevens front axle repair tool in NJ/NY/PA/CT area

It’s an early, no ford script, T-202 axle going on an ‘11. The bend in the axle I believe makes it bow outwards slightly per the seller.

Re: Looking for front axle repair service or access to a Stevens front axle repair tool in NJ/NY/PA/CT area

Steve - not brave enough with a T that isn’t in alignment anyway. Robert - I primarily need to use the tool to replace the upper bushings and the threaded inserts. I would do it on a mill, but I don’t have the proper taper reamer and fear there is a risk of the two inserts not being concentric. I ha...

Thanks John and Rick, I will take a look inside as best I can and see if anything’s is binding and then try a dowel.

Someone mentioned to me that they could be potentially soldered in place. Is anyone else familiar with that?

Correct me if I am wrong but I don’t believe they were ever supplied on Model Ts out of the factory. I have seen them on quite a few different brass cars, often luxury marques. At least on some Pierce Arrow’s I have seen them with plano convex lenses. The lense is flat on one side and convex on the ...
