The bible (Ford Service Manual) tells you the exact sequence on removing an engine. I have always used the one eyebolt method and so has our club. Go to www.texastparts.com for wiring diagrams. They do not go as far back as a 1916, but you can look at the 1919-25 and see where most of your wires will be placed. I highly recommend a fuse and the diagram will show you where to place it.

Wonder if they all turn over. Would not want to deal with a locked engine, although it is a T.

Wonder if they will have minimunes, since nothinglisted yet.

COVID must have been spreading at OCF I came home with it

I came home with my cough and runny nose from OCF. It got worse with a fever and shortness of breath. You guessed it. Now I have an active case of COVID. If you present with one of those symptoms get yourself checked.

Re: Rear spring questions

I do just like Jeff Humble does with a 4x4. Need to raise the rear almost 2 feet. Since you are not removing the rear axle, just leave the wheels on. Put a 2x4 under each shackle so all stays solid. Knock out the shackles. That bushing driver from Langs works great.........The old bushings should co...

Peter

Just set an alarm on your phone for 3:15. No need to keep looking at your watch. I know I saw you driving some kind of car.

Seems like it just wasn't a good year this year, but I know we all had a great time at OCF with the perfect weather.

See you next year.

Steve lives in Kansas in the south side of the state close to Oklahoma. Pulling my car on a trailer took me 7 hours at about 63mph...........From Algoma you probably want to take the Badger over to Ludington.

No Tom. I sold my shop coat. I was on the top row and I have a beard that makes me look like Santa Claus. I had on a grey flannel shirt. I did not see Peter N, Marty, Ed, Rusty, or many others that usually show up.

I was there at 330 and I did not see anyone. The games were still going on. I left at 340 with the assumption it was not going to happen this year.

Besides, bleachers are hard to sit on for old people.

That is Mark in the passenger seat. First time ever riding a Model T. We went on a tour of the Ford campus across the street from The Henry Ford. He is a designer at Ford.

Steve Jelf and OCF

Unfortunately Steve did not make it this year.

His spot on the field for 1915 T's was empty.

He was mentioned in conversation at Greenfield Village.

We were all thinking of you Steve and know you were there in spirit

Re: My model t accident

I was hit by a motorcycle many years ago. Could not hardly tell where the cycle hit the rear axle. Made a huge dent in that cycle wheel. Last year we rebuilt my motor and it was 0.058 out of line. I suggest you pull that engine and measure everything. I am sure there are enough people on this forum ...

Friday afternoon you have 2 options. 1. Unload your car in the Henry Ford parking lot and drive your trailer over to the Fairlane Mall. Take the shuttle back to the parking lot where you will be able to drive it into Greenfield Village. Leave it in Greenfield Village for the weekend. 2. Drive to the...

John If you find the right people at the meet and greet on Friday night you can drive to Piquette on Saturday. I would not do it by yourself. 5 or 6 of us did it a few years ago and it was a blast. Not the greatest neighborhood, but if you wave and honk they will wave back at you. Those of us that p...

There should be an outer felt seal. Dan Treace's picture of a hub shows where it is placed. Too many people leave this out.

I had a muffler like that with those ends. It was starting to rust so I tossed it and
installed a Stanley tractor muffler. It works great. They used to be $20, but are now
up to $58 or so.

You are in the middle of the state. You have a couple of Model T experts on the east side of Iowa, John Williams and Dean Yoder. They are both on FB, but they do not look at it on a daily basis, but you could IM them.

Ethanol = ethyl alcohol, the same stuff they add to gas. I believe Evaporust is flushed out with water. Go ahead and flush your tank a few times with water. Then use a can of denatured alcohol to get the water out. A pint should be enough. You do not need a whole gallon. Let it sit an hour and then ...
