My 1925 Indiana Truck found in the loft of a barn when I was 16. I only found the wood cab and sheet metal for the body and later got the rear half of the frame from the woods in the next county where it had sat for years. Took me over 20 years just to find part of a frame from another Indiana that ...

Dallas, I like yours better on the inside. I did the same thing 5 or 6 years ago with the old corn crib that I wanted to save from the farm but it was in poor condition so I took it down one board at a time and rebuilt it inside the pole barn to use as a workshop. I made a real heavy bucking bar in the lathe to back up the rivets in my truck frame. Then I used an air hammer with the correct tip to fit the round end. Heat the rivet and go to it till it is the shape you want. If it cools down heat it again and keep at it. You will get there.

Re: Ignition key stolen!
Mark is right about the starter working without a key in the switch. Guess its been a couple of years since I had to jump the coils in the 27 but the starter did work just fine. Now all my cars are hand crank only so I need to get out anyway unless it gives a free start.

Re: Fed-Ex!!!! How *could* you!
Sorry to hear Fed Up did it again. I have no idea why anyone would still ship anything with them. I have had them drive around my house for 3 days only to send me a note in the mail that they can not find my address and my wife and I even stood in the yard waving our arms in the air as they drove by...

Re: Ignition key stolen!
I carry some wire to use as jumper to start the car in case the key is lost/stolen or switch wont work. It is easy to run a wire to the coil box and hook it to a battery. You would need to hand crank the car but not a big deal. Just to be safe I would remove the wire that goes to the mag post but to...

That crank scares me and these guys before me know a LOT more than I do. I have a lot more money in just a bare block for my 1912 right now than the cost of the new Scat cranks cost and now I need to get the bare block rebuilt and will end up with more than $5000 in it when its done WITHOUT the Scat...

Good advice so far but I have used PPG for years and have paint jobs over 35 years old that I base my own needs on. The graffiti we see on the old cars today is easy to remove as was on my 1968 Mustang both times I did it to my own car. The first one that comes to mind for me is the 1914 Touring owned by Seamus Hnat but I only have older pictures from before the artwork started so I stole this shot from one of Steve Jelf's posts and give Steve credit for it and the many others he shares with us. What have you done to your Model T in December?
Since it looks like cold weather has slowed the progress on most of our T's I guess I will start it this month. I decided to double check my 09 coolant and since it was a little low and could not check it I decided to start the car and add some more and let it warm up so it would mix well before che...

I think what Wayne saw as a prop nut is a model T engine valve over the coat rack. I also see something next to the light over the sink but it is small and will not show detail on my computer so no idea what it is. Other thing farther out from the light looks like a door knob. Strange place for it i...

My 13 wont help as it has had some damage where it looks like someone pried the tank up and out through the seat platform to replace it or something. I do think Scott is correct about it should be a round tank but don't take my word on this one, let the experts confirm this.
