What have you done to your Model T in December?
Since it looks like cold weather has slowed the progress on most of our T's I guess I will start it this month. I decided to double check my 09 coolant and since it was a little low and could not check it I decided to start the car and add some more and let it warm up so it would mix well before che...

I think what Wayne saw as a prop nut is a model T engine valve over the coat rack. I also see something next to the light over the sink but it is small and will not show detail on my computer so no idea what it is. Other thing farther out from the light looks like a door knob. Strange place for it i...

As you can see the last owner tried to put on a later radiator and the headlights were updated to electric at some point and almost all the brass had been removed other than the windshield so even that may not be original. Re: Terrible noise coming from transmission
I swore my transmission made the sounds when the thrust washers went out in the rear end and it only made the noise when I was moving or stopping. 80% of the time I find two things went wrong at the same time on my cars and most problems are not related. The nut could have done some damage and made ...

Rear Top Strap Info Needed For 09 Touring
I am getting ready to order the rear straps for the new top on my 09 Touring and all I find listed have a "D" ring to mount to the car but mine should mount to the buggy rail. I thought about just cutting the ring off but then they would be short and not fit. Anyone got any pictures of the way they ...

I love the look of wood and think painting over it is a bad thing for cabinets and antique chairs but the wood on cars from that era would have been painted to protect it and natural wood while it looks good is just wrong. I hated to paint the original white oak cab on my 25 Indiana but it had paint...

South Bend Indiana had some nasty weather tonight with tornado's and damage. I think it passed just south of Mishawaka and hope everyone is safe. My cars are all missing this; 13.All Model Ts were built with a permanently affixed jack stand on the rear axle. This would allow the owner to remove the rear wheel and place a flat belt on the hub. The car could then be used to power farm equipment. This was factory standard on all Model Ts, right ...

Automotive masking tape is expensive but works and will come off after you paint without problems. Only thing is it might pull off any loose paint so a trick we used was to "kill" the tape a little on your leg to remove some of the glue. Stick it to your pants leg and remove it one time before you p...

Steve,
Please note that my 09 may not be 100% correct so if your trailer is for an 09 Touring add a couple inches at least to be safe. Maybe others will let us know how close mine is because I am not an expert on it and have a lot to learn myself.

Good point, owner did tighten things up in the coil box before the trip and could have caused a problem that showed up down the road today. I think it is old wood.

The reed is the right direction but I think it needs the long brass tube around it. My 13 has the reed at the bulb like that but it may be different on a 15.
