On the subject of ‘Blockley Tires, are they any good?’
I purchased a set of 5. Two to three months of driving,
They began to develop cracks around the bead.
This was not what I was expecting.
Maybe all tires made now are like this. I hope not.

Yellow stuff
Just got back from a tour and pulled the plugs to see how they fared. They were
covered with this yellow stuff which I have never seen before. Any ideas of
what is going on here would appreciated.

Fouled spark plugs
I’m driving my T more these days and what I continue to encounter when I pull the plugs after a long tour: no’s 3 and 4, clean. No. 2, fouled. No. 1 really fouled. I am running a Stipe cam and a Prus high compression head. I have tested the intake manifold for any signs of a vacuum leak. No signs of...

Patina
For those of you who responded to my inquiry
regarding patina (to paint or not to paint,
that is the question) I would like to thank you.
A great deal of useful information was shared
To which I am most appreciative.

Re: Patina
Yes. You are correct. The suggestion has been made that a high quality rattle can paint could be an option. Your thoughts?

Patina
My wife has finally seen through the ruse. “I don’t know exactly what patina is and frankly, dear, I don’t care. This is rust and cracked old paint and I’m not riding in the T until it’s painted.” So there you have it. Body shops around here won’t touch it. So, it looks like I’m going to venture int...

One Man Top Sockets (Square)
WANTED: (You would think that, given Ford made more than 15 million T''s, this would not be all that difficult.) Anyway, I am looking for the upper (top if you will) sockets for a '24 touring. If doesn't work, I would like to hear from anyone who has complete sets. Craig Bothwell bothwell.craig@gmai...

EMP
This is perhaps a little off topic, but…given
the current state of affairs the question was
raised recently whether or not a Model
T would survive an EMP blast. This a technical
question / subject that is beyond my
knowledge base. Would be interested in
responses from the forum. Thanks.

Engine noise from freshly rebuilt engine.
I recently had my motor rebuilt and, after driving the car several times have noticed a troubling 'noise' that occurs when 'revving' the motor. I have run the motor at full and partial advance (and everything in between.) I had installed a Prus high compression head and a cam from Stipe. The Youtube...

Re: Warford transmission installation
I too am currently wanting to install a KC Warford. There has been a lot of useful information posted by folks much more knowledgeable than myself on the subject. Thank you. Question: Does anyone know of a source for a (Warford) support brace which I am told I will need. Thanking all of you in advan...

How many hours should it take...
This question is asked of those who have a lot of experience under their belt. How many hours should it take to re-assemble a T short block AFTER all machining has been completed. I ask this question so as to get a better idea of the cost involved. I have taken the engine completely apart and will p...

Porcelain Engine
I'm putting this out to the membership as I have no idea why this was done: The engine that I am having rebuilt was 'porcelained" by the previous owner (many, many years ago). That is, the engine is 'coated' (if that is the right word) in porcelain. Looks a little bit like powder coating. I would ap...
