I forgot to mention the waters that you can see in the background is Sandusky Bay that empty's into Lake Erie. The structure you can see in the one background is the coal docks they ship coal all over the Great lakes from there. Tim, Art and myself plus various other club members go gallivanting all...

Re: Want a beer?
jab35, The article you posted reminded me of a Pabst bottle I've had for about 45 years found it under a house they were going to tear down to expand a warehouse for a beer distributor of all things. I believe that it was a bar back in the teens or before. The bottle has no mention of a blue ribbon ...

In looking this picture over I see two things that really stand out to me and that is I can only make out maybe three cars that are closed one of the three appears to be a utility type like a bread truck upper left near buildings. The other thing that stands out is the steering wheels are mostly app...

Re: Bendix Clatter
Andrew, These starters have a babbitt washer on the brush end which can start to crumble allowing the armature to move about uncontrolled. This could be your noise. I'm no expert just what I have found in a couple of recent rebuilds for myself. Jim

Re: Bendix Clatter
Andrew, If you decide to pull the starter be sure to remove the bendix from the shaft first, you run the risk of damage to the magneto if you don't. One thing I don't think was mentioned it could be a bent armature shaft. Jim

Hey Steve, Greetings from northern Ohio. Great to see you back in the drivers seat even though it's for a photo op. Praying that soon you will be driving for real. I'm wanting to know if those spokes on your motivation device in the background are actually Hickory. God be with in your recovery...

They run about .449-.450, 5 are marked Ford 426 AR E,1 is marked just ford and the last 2 no markings at all. Not the prettiest but if you like them we can ...

I got tired of my hands being black after going for a ride so I scrubbed it down about the same as you did and before reassembling it to the spider I gave it several coats of rattle can satin clear coat. It's been about three years and 3,000 miles now and no black residue so far. Jim

Leather Source Found

I thought some of you might be interested and the price ...

Could be missing a cutter then it would used for cutting mica on armatures. You might want to re-cord it before use.
