Re: 26-27 coil box kit

This is from the fun projects web sight about the replacement parts for the coil box. Jim Disassembly: NOTE: It is assumed that the coil box assembly has been removed from the engine. It is very desirable to salvage and use the ORIGINAL coil box contacts consisting of 8 spring contact terminals fast...

Re: FOR SALE - MODEL T VALVE TOOL SUITE

I will hazard a guess and say that it fits over the exhaust manifold and the chain goes through the keyhole type hole on the two pieces that resemble wrenches. They would then be used for compressing the valve spring for removal of the pin. Jim

Re: Coolant Recommendation

If you want free from the sky why not use rain water, It's free and it should not have a bunch of minerals to plug up your radiators. It may contain some acid but that would help keep the rust out of the system. Yes, No, Maybe. Jim

Maybe it's for air pressure, hook a hose up to it and an air pump and pressurize to keep the oil up in the engine. Jim

Re: Engine block worth saving/can it be saved?

In doing this type of weld or braze or whatever other method we can come up with I have a question. Should the head be bolted in place and maybe even torqued to say 45# with or without a gasket to keep every thing kind of on an even keel? And I would ask the same about boring an engine, should the m...

Does it have a vented cap on the fuel tank? It could be plugged with a bit of dirt or something creating a vacuum and stopping the flow after a few minutes. Jim

The same remedy that you had to use worked on it, after the cleansing I would drain and run the gas out when I was done with it. I have been playi...

Ananth, Even with an NH I sometimes have to back out the control knob to give it a little more gas on startup. After it warms up a little it will start to surge that's when I know to turn it back the knob to the sweet spot. Also if you are running a heavier weight oil you might try leaving the hand ...
