Re: OLD PHOTO - Down home

Amen Brent. The woman in the rocking chair looks like she is on her cell phone. We see the same thing with these phones day in and day out that the first thing we think of when we see a woman with her hand near her head or just holding something we think its a cell phone :(

Soak in water for about 4 hours clamp them while they're still wet, let them dry in clamped position, remove and use weathestrip adhesive to apply them to the hood

Re: Shop tip

When looking for a short in your car, disconnect the ground cable from the battery and hook up a test light from the cable end to the ground terminal of the battery then pull fuses from the fuse box one at a time till the test light goes out. You will now know what circuit the short is on.

Re: Shop tip

This is an amazing trick I learned, when siliconing say a bathtub or anything you want a straight clean line, run a strip of masking or painters tape along the edges on both sides before you lay the bead, smooth it with a wet finger and peal off the tape while the silicone is still wet, you will hav...

I believe the extra money Classtique charges is for the pre made kick panels and door panels ready to install. I don't think the other upholstery suppliers come with those

Re: 15% ethanol and T’s

OK since everyone is chiming in, here is my input, I am not a fan of draining carburators for the fact that if it sits for long periods of time the seals dry out and you are in the same boat of removing it and rebuilding it, I have seen it first hand. I have had lawnmowers, chainsaws, logsplitters a...

Re: Muffler pack nut loose

Dave H, I believe you are correct. If you think about it when the muffler is clamped to the exhaust pipe and then bolted to the frame when the car flexes over uneven roads the muffler is transmitting the twisting torque all the way up to the pack nut causing it to loosen. Is it possible that everyon...

I have a shackle question, my original front spring shackles were in good shape so I reinstalled them with new flip top oilers everything is tight with no play but when I lowered the car to the ground the oiler in the spring got crushed against the perch.
