Just received my Classtique top in the mail last week and am working on laying out everything needed for installation.
I'm definitely thankful for all of the videos and writeups there are out there! I feel like I've virtually installed the top several times already!
Good luck with yours:)

Re: Srtomberg carb and Burns intake
I like the Oregon support! Thanks! is that a stromberg 97? That should work, just make sure you have it jetted right. Tim Yes, I believe it's a 97. Am I correct that "jetted right" would be determined by the final engine build? That's actually a Model A intake BUT it's the same port configuration as...

Srtomberg carb and Burns intake
I picked this combo up at an estate sale and wondering if it would be an effective combo for a future speedster project I haven't even collected parts for.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Floor sealer help
Here is a post from a couple years ago that I started on the topic of floorboard paint. http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/822076/846115.html?1526399602 I ended up using oil based Rustoleum semi-gloss black thinned with acetone. I was really happy with the results and it has been very durable. Th...

Re: Floor sealer help
Brian, I like the grain on your floor. It would be unfortunate to cover it. The original floor was still in my ‘26 coupe, when I bought it in 1970. The only finish it had on it was 44 years worth of dirt. Jim Patrick Thanks Jim. I like the looks of the natural wood also, but I'm concerned about wat...

Re: Floor sealer help
Brian, Looks like you custom made your floorboards, and I notice your pedal openings are non standard. All Ford floor boards had the reverse cut out the same as the other pedal cut outs. Also, the pedals move sideways as they move forward, make sure there is adequate side clearance so the pedals do...

That's very helpful! I assume Linseed will leave a wood finish and black is black.

Floor sealer help
I've rebuilt a floor for Dorothy and would like to find a good sealer from the weather that is also somewhat heat resistant to the exhaust!
Looking to see what you smart folks have had luck with.
Here is a picture almost finished.
Thanks!

Re: 1922 touring top bracket confusion. Help!
You are holding the wrong part in your hand for your car. If you look at the runabout irons in my top photo you will see studs coming out. They screwed into the brace thru the hole. The top rest on the "L" bracket would be wrong too as the mounting hole looks too big. https://www.modeltford.com/ite...

Re: 1922 touring top bracket confusion. Help!
How about some photos of what you are working with, car and irons. Ford started using the pressed steel pillar the rear door mounts to and fender and top iron brace in 1921. What you have in your body may dictated what parts you will need to install the rear pivot mount. If the pillars are all wood...

Re: 1922 touring top bracket confusion. Help!
Ummm which 22 are you talking about...an early 22 with the 2 man top or the later 22 with the 1 man top? And what are these "L" brackets for? My car is an early 22 with a 2 man top and doesn't have an "L" bracket for the top anywhere. This seems to be an early 22 with a 2 man top. Is there a way of...

1922 touring top bracket confusion. Help!
Just ordered the L brackets and rests to have ready when the top is done. It seems something is missing and can't be found in the catalogs.
Any help is appreciated.
