My TT has the 5:1 gears and will cruise at 30 MPH just fine. You can't keep up with a tour unless you go with a aux. transmission. KC Warford makes a real good trans. for the TT that will let you keep up with the speed of the cars. You will still need a good strong running motor in any case.

Re: Berg's Radiator Neck
I've had two Berg's radiator necks come off in the first year of use. Moto-Meters on both. I use the stock cap now with no problems. These radiators cool really good but the necks won't stay on with all that extra weight.

The Rocky Mountain Model T Club had our annual meeting this weekend in Eureka MT. Great place to tour and we ran 14 cars in the Rendezvous Days Parade. Had some rain but it was a lot of fun.

After my pinion gear broke I built up another rear axle with floating hubs and got it installed in the Tudor.

Around here we run mostly dirt logging and mining roads. We call them period correct roads and the T's do really good on them.

A guy at work told me about this old truck that had been sitting in a barn for years. It was only about 8 miles from the house.

Re: What have you done with your Model T in March?
My pinion gear broke into three pieces. Had to put a standard gear in that I had until I can find a 10 tooth. The old lift made this a pretty easy job. Going to add safety hubs while I'm at it.

TT rear axle outer seal?
Installing new outer felt seals on my 25 TT and they just don't fit. The one that came out was about 1/8" the new one is about an inch wide. The retainer is only about an inch total. Any ideas?

Pins and bushings for the front axle and seals and de-gunk for the rear axle. Also adjust center main.

Re: Disc Brakes--Yes/No??
I drive in the mountains of Western Montana and Idaho. I've also taken my T over the Beartooth Pass and every major pass in Montana and this is how I see it. Totally stock brakes are not that safe in these mountains, RM brakes are pretty good but they can get hot and fade if you're not careful and w...

Re: Somewhat related to the Ferry thread from a few days ago.
We've been living in a "chinook" all winter. That is changing starting tomorrow. The real Montana winter is arriving with a vengeance. This happened several years ago, we got a whole winters worth of snow in one week. When it was done we had five feet of snow on the flat. I had to break out the exca...

I used a choke cable with a knob that looked similar to the T choke/mixture control. I used the same dash hole as the stock set up.
