Re: Highland Green?
Edwin, that looks like a really nice green! If possible, could you share the paint details and formula? I think that information would really be appreciated since there have many discussions about recreating the 1926-7 colors on the forum over the years.

There are some minor differences in the 1926 - 1927 front fenders over the course of production, just FYI.

Joseph, thank you for posting this! I sometimes think about the people who originally owned my T's (even the ones that are just rusty bare bodies) and how they must have been excited about owning their shiny new Ford...

Re: Rusty pan
After removing any loose rust with a wire brush or wire cup you could try soaking the rusted area with 30% vinegar (cleaning vinegar; you can get it at Home Depot) and then washing very well with water and baking soda to neutralize any remaining acetic acid. Then coat with something like Sta-bil Fog...

Terry,
Are you thinking of JR Means (Hot4Cyl on eBay) from Dunnegan, MO? His website is: jandshotrodasylum.com and his card says that he does engine rebuilding, coils, transmission repair, machine shop, magneto, and rebabbiting work.

Re: My wheels need a ride.
Ricky, if you aren’t able to find someone to help you with your wheels, you might consider using Fastenal’s Blue Lane Freight service. If the wheels are in Denver they are still in Fastenal’s East Zone and can be shipped to Tennessee via them (no shipments across zones). They are very affordable ($2...

Re: Any advice on brush painting a T?
I see that Allan mentioned it up above but you might want to use Penetrol to thin your paint and help it level out without brush or roller marks. Practice on test pieces in various orientations to get your technique worked out before you start on your actual car. https://www.flood.com/products/paint...

I have silver soldered many bergs necks and run motor meters afterwards with no problems. Sometimes the chrome gets a little damaged. I rather have a serviceable neck. Could you use something like this to avoid damaging the chrome finish on the upper part of the neck? https://www.nucalgon.com/produ...

Re: Floating transmission shafts
Les, sorry; another question about the conversion process using a Ford shaft. In that method what is the outer ring made of, steel or bronze? And the flange of the shaft is faced thinner as well?

Re: Floating transmission shafts
Les, are the converted shafts machined to have the gear teeth pattern and then the outer ring made from bronze as with your design? Does the shaft need to be heat treated after machining? Thanks for your information about this!
