Re: Any advice on brush painting a T?
I see that Allan mentioned it up above but you might want to use Penetrol to thin your paint and help it level out without brush or roller marks. Practice on test pieces in various orientations to get your technique worked out before you start on your actual car. https://www.flood.com/products/paint...

Re: Berg's Radiator neck
I have silver soldered many bergs necks and run motor meters afterwards with no problems. Sometimes the chrome gets a little damaged. I rather have a serviceable neck. Could you use something like this to avoid damaging the chrome finish on the upper part of the neck? https://www.nucalgon.com/produ...

Re: Floating transmission shafts
Les, sorry; another question about the conversion process using a Ford shaft. In that method what is the outer ring made of, steel or bronze? And the flange of the shaft is faced thinner as well?

Re: Floating transmission shafts
Les, are the converted shafts machined to have the gear teeth pattern and then the outer ring made from bronze as with your design? Does the shaft need to be heat treated after machining? Thanks for your information about this!

Have you checked with Howell's Sheet Metal directly? Best to call them but they are sometimes hard to get ahold of if they are out in the shop-- just keep trying. https://fordor.com/category.cfm?cat=1922-25%20Model%20T%20Sheet%20Metal%20Touring/Roadster&dept=0927modelt You might also check with Chaf...

Re: Model T Racer
Maybe a Brooklands-style windscreen or similar would give the look you want. For headlights, you could make mounts from cut-down front fender brackets and use black-era headlights and they would be easily removable for when you want to go racing! Like this (may be cheaper elsewhere): https://mossmot...

Dan, do you know roughly when the switch to the later type of bracket was made? I may be interested in this one if it fits the time frame of my project.

Re: For Sale 1926-27 NORS Accessory Stoplight and Switch
I've thought that with some very careful welding someone could convert one of the DB Type-B lights to a passable Ford version using the stamped script from a Model A horn cover like this:

Re: Camshaft outlook for 2023?
FYI, this past Friday I asked Mark Chaffin via text when we were working out shipping details on an item that I had purchased from him, "What is the current camshaft availability?" and his response was "No new. Regrinds are in progress."
