Re: ilming a video about the Ford T in France.

Olivier, Bonjour, What you are doing on Facebook is a good thing. Although I have never gotten to like Facebook myself, it really is the gateway for young people today to discover so many wonderful aspects of our world. Providing good exposure on there to the world of model Ts for youth today is a ...

There are quite a few Amilcars in Australia.
Yep, and I have two of them, I see you are in Ulladulla, let me know if you are ever up around Wollongong area, I can take you for a spin.

Re: Montier Ford update

Thanks for the sympathy from those who have commented above but I am not too upset. The practicalities of shipping to Australia was always going to limit my chances even though some kind folks over there had offered to help. I always thought it possible there would be interest, and maybe I am to bla...

So who bought the ex-Bugatti 1925 T Tourer at auction last week?

I had written elsewhere about my attempts to buy the Montier-Ford at the Mullin Collection auction last Friday but there was another Model T there that went cheap - and it has a significant history. Further down the lots a fairly rough '25 Tourer went for just $1k. Ok, you may say, that is all it is...

Montier Ford update

The Montier-Ford that had been stored at Peter Mullin's museum was finally sold at auction last Friday. It went for $24k, far too rich for me given that I would have had to ship it to Australia too, but hopefully given that it was a pretty healthy price for what is a complete restoration case it has...

Re: A Model T at Lemans article

Well yes, Hemmings already posted that same report on their online pages last April, surprised to see it again their print magazine but hey, why not? Most of the info and photos are taken from my book (and a couple from the Museum of American Speed). The book is still available from Amazon: https://...

New book about racing Model Ts

Hi folks. Some of you may have read elsewhere about my book 'Charles Montier and his French Racing Fords' available now from Amazon. For anyone who does not know the name, Montier was a Ford dealer and a racer so it was inevitable he would modify the Fords of the 1920s (and into the '30s) to compete...

Re: Ford Montier in France.

Just to clarify, the book is published by Amazon in either French or English. The link Olivier posted shows the French version, sub-titled 'Sorcier de la Ford T' but the English version is sub-titled 'and his French Racing Fords' which is at the link I posted. Make sure you order the right one folks.

Re: Ford Montier in France.

Wow, what a weekend that was. Thanks to Olivier and the two Pierres everything was well organised and one helluva party. Everyone thought I was a bit crazy to fly from Australia to France for just 6 days but it was worth it. I arrived in Richelieu on the Friday afternoon and was well taken care of b...

Re: Another Montier-Ford surfaces, and disappears again.

I have photos of the Montier as it is in storage but I can't work out how to add them here; they are on my computer but don't have a url address. Any way to cut and paste?

Another Montier-Ford surfaces, and disappears again.

Been a long time but I thought I would update on another Montier find, or at least why it will remain hidden. Many of you may be aware of the story of the Schlumpf brothers who amassed a collection of cars, mostly Bugattis, in France which were then confiscated by the French government after their t...

Re: More custom French Model T's. I get sidetracked way too easy......

Just found this and as I have not been on here for a log time I had to register again to log in. Yes, I do still have just a couple of copies of the Montier book left, but for the cost of postage they are probably best kept for Australian members, contact me at ckmart2017@gmail.com If anyone in the ...
