Just for information:
Regarding: leatherplates.com. Steve Hammatt, who ran that business just recently passed, so that service is no longer available. Steve was a very nice guy, who loved to talk brass and classic cars with everyone.

I forgot to add: DBC mixes 1 to 1 with reducer, so (1) qt of base equals (2) qts sprayable.

Re: Share Your Tractor(s) - old ones that is ;-)
Hi Rudy and Michael. I've attached 2 photos of the optional "land wheel drive" on the Big Bull. In early 2019, Aumann Auctions sold a Big Bull from the late Alan Schurman auction in Woodland, Washington. It also had the land wheel drive on it. At the time, they noted they had not seen a Bull with th...

Re: Share Your Tractor(s) - old ones that is ;-)
One more shot of the Big Bull's 2 cylinder engine. It's currently stuck, but all complete. To start it, you stick the hand crank through the spokes of the left/rear land wheel. I have no idea what you do if you happen to shut it down and the wheel spoke blocks the shaft where the hand crank slips in...

Re: Share Your Tractor(s) - old ones that is ;-)
Thought I would share my latest old tractor find. This was just a couple months ago, during our heat wave out in the PNW. I dug this out of an old quansot hut at a former dairy farm about 50 miles from my place. I had heard rumors of it and decided to chase them down, because you just never know if ...

I have two brothers and a sister. We must have been abused kids because my parents bought each of us a new car for our sixteenth birthdays. My sister got a new 1970 Pontiac GTO, 455 ci, automatic. My older brother got a new 1970 Plymouth Superbird, 440 ci, 4sp. I got a new 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner, ...

Someone asked where the crank is on the Schacht. It hangs out the rear of the car. They're a 2 cylinder, apposed, friction drive.

I've been helping a friend restore his 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster. After having the metal work (rust repair) done and bodywork, I started in on it a couple months ago, working in my spare time and weekends, to get it painted, so he can finally start assembly. Here's 2photos taken this evening, ready...

Re: Question for the Fordson Guys
Ken, your Fordson is most likely an Irish Fordson, built in Cork, Ireland and orange would be the correct and original color. I think when production was moved from Cork, Ireland, to Dagenham, England, is when they because blue with orange wheels, though I'm no expert on this. To date your tractor v...

Possible industrial or tractor use. I have (2) 1928 Allis-Chalmers which use Kingston L-3 carburetors. They look different than this one, but much larger than car ones. My A-C's have about a 409 C.I. 4 cylinder for example.

Re: Allen Schurman Auction Ridgefield Wa
If you just looked at the photos on the auction listing, you would not have known about the engine. I went to the open house and saw the car up close. They had the left side of the hood open, which as you know for that year, doesn't show the serial number, nor much about it. When I opened the right ...

Re: Allen Schurman Auction Ridgefield Wa
I think someone got a good deal on the 1911 touring. The auction's description didn't do the car any justice and they only showed a photo of the left side of the engine. Had they shown the right side, bidders would have seen it was an open valve engine and a six rivet rearend. With exception of the ...
