Yeah, well 1925 makes sense Allan.
That was the year the Dalgety bodied ones had smooth pedals.
I had to scratch around to find a set in my heap of bits when I was putting one together.

OK.. reading the Encyclopedia the pedals changed from CBR to Ribbed to Smooth during 1915 period. Here in Australia our cars were Canadian imported. I have quite a few transmission covers from later models, all starter motor castings, which have ribbed pedals. The question is did the Canadian produc...

I got this bronze (?) dipstick in a lot of T stuff I acquired from the estate of an old time Ford mechanic. It is marked in (presumably) 1/2 gallon increments, up to10"1/2. It is19 inches long and is stamped above the 10 gallon mark with what appears to be Q then 400-846.... the 8 possibly is 9 If y...

Have you taken the side plate off? It's likely that the retaining pin at the base of the valve spring has punched through the retaining disc. happened to me in my '26.

I was very glad the splash pans were on my '26 the day the top of the coil box came adrift and was caught there , not ending up on the road.

I found a bit of cotton rope 3/16 inch diameter and installed that . With the battery conundrum I cheated and made a metal battery box with a demountable side that can be accessed from under the car. Slide the battery out and gravity helps with the vertical problem.

It's ironic isn't it , that the good stuff we used to manufacture in Oz no longer exists and we somehow have come to accept that second rate throwaway is the norm.

Well that makes more sense....couldn't see the sense of bicycle registration, but stranger things have happened.
Are these things common in the US...I saw a couple on Ebay for various prices.. not that I intend to sell it. I'll just put it on the Coup as it will be a bit of a novelty in Australia.

I am in the throes of repairing a front mudguard (fender) for my '25 Coup project. I selected a rough old guard from my pile of rusty tin to get some cuts to replace damaged sections. On the underside of the one I selected was a tag that had been welded at the end of a roughly repaired rip , presuma...

Been working on the Coup for a while, and got the Timber sorted.
Starting to fit panels.
This moulding that runs around the cab was removed with the nailing strip inside.
Any suggestion how to separate the two without causing damage ?
Both look reusable if I don't cause any unnecessary distortion.

Sounds like you worked out the problems OK. That got the starter turning a bit more positi...
