Hey Bill, Your problem and the different answers you received remind me of an old joke about a farmer whose donkey wouldn't enter the barn because his ears hit the top of the door frame. A friend stopped by to find him trying to saw grooves in the top frame to fit the donkey's ears! After watching h...

Hey Rob,
Really enjoyed the pictures of the K in Lincoln. I drool every time I see pictures of it. I've got a 45th reunion coming up in Omaha next Spring. Hoping I can impose on you and drive down one day to see the K (depending on Covid and all). Getting along with your hip OK?

Marv, If you're running out of things to check, you might want to check the wiring on the back of the coil box. If nothing else, this post will bump this topic to the top of the forum! I have a T (no starter) that would start first crank, every time, no matter how long or short between drives. But a...

My great grandfather founded Baker, CA ("Gateway to Death Valley") in the early '20's. Both Death Valley Jack and Death Valley Scotty helped him do things around the property, but mainly they drank a lot! One night, coming back from the bar, Scotty fell in the new cesspool they were digging and brok...

If we're talking about the same thing Henry, and it probably depends on where we're getting our information, I've read that the first moving assembly line at Ford was introduced Oct 7, 1913. Because my 1914 was built Oct 7, 1913, I always tell everyone that it was built the first day of the moving a...

I used to always get enjoyment when I saw people confuse the spelling of "break" and "brake", especially on the forum.
Now, after reading your extremely entertaining post above, I see that, with the Model T, they eventually mean the same!
Good one Bob! Always enjoy your posts.

Hey Steven, I did the same with my 1917 touring. Supposedly you attach brass wood screws thru the drilled holes into the framing under the sheet metal, but I didn't want to remove the sheet metal or upholstery either to find out where the wooden frames are. I went to a "real" hardware store (a big b...

There is a really good guy in Santee (northeast of San Diego) that did my 1914 T and a friends '26 T, but I'm at that age where I can't remember his name and can't find the paperwork! He was referred by Ray Wells in El Cajon so, if Santee's a convenient location, you won't find anyone better. Call R...

Gary, I have two. The first came with a key, the second didn't. The key to the first doesn't fit the second lock. I took it to an old fashion locksmith on Coronado Island (San Diego) and he picked the lock and made me a key. Took him a few days but he did it. Maybe see if you can find an old fashion...

My 1914 touring was built Oct 7, 1913. I have the same tail light you describe on your car (doesn't mean it wasn't changed over the past 100+ years).
If you need a picture, let me know.

Re: Just to test if I understood it.
Mark, Not trying to belabor the point, but that's what I did and it came out 90 x 38 (38 is under 50 so it won't accept it!). If I keep the aspect ratio and raise the "38" to "50", then the "90" goes to "105" (over 90 so not accepted). I'm guessing that if I want both cars in the same picture, I nee...

Re: Just to test if I understood it.
I apologize, I also did this on Chris' 2018 post.
Can we only post one pic on our profile? I have a pic of both my cars together, but it either comes out 90 x 38 (under 50) or 105 x 90 (over 90 x 90).
Any other combination under 90, but over 50 gives a distorted picture?
Thank you.
