When installing the top saddles onto the mounting arms on 26/27 touring, which direction do the set screws face, front or rear of car?

I asked the same question a few weeks ago and never had any response. I've since found that the threads are 11/16-16. Hope that helps. Also i believe those support arms were used from 1923 thru 1927

What size threads are the top support arms that thread into the body on a 26-27 touring? Need to chase the threads...
