Re: 7 Rivet Engine Pan

Interesting pan and the transition details. The front casting looks like the later narrow nose pans without the front casting going completely around the hole. Might be a really late 12 early 13 and or last of the 7 rivet arms being used up. Interesting

Clock mounting help

Here is a Phinney Walker rim wind with a angled case. How does something like this mount on the dash? It has a set screw on the bottom. I’m thinking that perhaps there was some sort of bracket that it mounted to in the firewall. Any help much appreciated Thanks Mike 3EC37EB4-9468-449D-93CD-431EACD77...

Re: Can you help identify these dash to windshield brackets?

Larry,
Thanks a bunch for the info. The Rands windshield that I have does have the internal spring hinges and the smaller upper half. Looks like I'll clean them up and get them re-plated. It's great to know that these brackets are original to the windshield/era.

Re: Can you help identify these dash to windshield brackets?

Larry,
Interesting! Thanks for the picture. Now here's another mystery. The Rands windshield that came with these brackets is not your typical equal half windshield. It has a larger bottom half and smaller top half. So we're these brackets only unique to the 09-10 year?

I'm just trying to sort out what is what. These brackets came with the Rands windshield which I was told was on a Model T. From what I've read so far is that Rands supplied the brackets with their windshield. The brackets that are repop are just one of many styles that we're available. These bracket...

So I’m going through some parts and I have these brass dash to windshield brackets. I have two pair. They came with a Rands brass windshield. According to the Speedo book by Russ the only part numbers on these are 12 A and 12 B. The potmetal ones have the name Stewart on them as well as different 4 digit numbers to help identify the year. Russ's book does a great job helping identify the correct speedo equipment for the Model T. Definitel...

With the Holley carb it looks like it does have the fuel inlet pipe. It does look to be in very good shape, if it has/ hasn’t been rebuilt that would effect cost. Russ Potter is the expert on the carbs. You can contact him here

Re: Love those scammers!

So I told Paul that I don't live too far and was going to make the trip up and talk to his mechanic and see the parts for myself and I would just drop him a check. He told me not to come and no one would be there....but just go ahead and send the money and he would tell the mechanic to pull the part...

Re: Love those scammers!

Heres the latest thread of emails: PAUL: Thanks for your concern, the car belongs to my dad but he is no more, he pass away few months ago. Sorry I can't sell the complete car because some of his club members need some of the parts also. See the prices for the parts you requested. 4 rubber lug nuts....

Love those scammers!

So I received a reply for a part I was looking for from the HCCA. The email smelled fishy so I further enquired. He sent me a picture of the 12 that he has. I googled the image and found it on Pinterest. LOL Here’s the thread from a Paul Haggis: Hello, I am Paul , just want to know if you are still ...

Re: Want to buy- Inner ball bearing race

George,
Some light heat and it should come off. If your spindle have the full round flange they are a little more difficult to get off. The later spindle with the flat edge flanges are easier to get off. If it's all pitted up, don't waste your time on trying to save it.

Wanted Early Exhaust Manifold

Just throwing it out here... Looking for an early exhaust manifold for a 12. This would be the one that is straight through and the rear edge is not tapered for the flare found on later exhaust pipes. The early style requires a packing to help keep the exhaust pipe in place and not leak. Thanks Mike...

That's early! I was thinking that it maybe started at 8. Is there a lot of vendors/people ready to sell at 6? I've never been so just curious, it's a 3 hour drive for me.

Richmond Homecoming- Who's going and what are you bringing?

Richmond Homecoming is coming up June 8th. I went to the first one a few years back, but wasn't able to make it to the others. I will be going this year. I heard that the swap meet has grown and this is a good meet to attend.

Re: WTB Steering Column

Bill from my understanding if that's the one piece firewall, the steering column your looking for would be the one with the off set hole in the lower right hand corner. From what I can see the firewall you have does not have that one drilled yet, also I read that there were some one piece firewalls ...

I’m not necessarily looking for original. Perhaps someone might have some of these that were purchased as repos that have not been used, and are not going to use them.
