Re: Can Anyone ID this Car?
Mine is dusty in the shop right now.It does have a repaired trunk floor, metal repaired around back window, rear fenders repaired, gas tank in but not hooked up yet.Last work I was doing was on the drivers side floor board and kick panels. Car is VERY rough.I beat the junk man by 25 bucks to get it.

Re: Thin bushing removal?
I guess I am a oddball but on bushings like this,I use a dremel tool and a carbide burr to cut a "ditch" on 2 sides of the bushing, not really a thin slot but more of literaly a ditch shaped groove. This weakens a large area on 2 sides.I watch Closely for a change in metal color so I don't go to far.P...

If the other person is at fault, why is the T owners insurance involved? The driver at fault's insurance should be paying for the damage shouldn't they? And DITTO on locking the garage door if the car is at your home. When I got hit in my station wagon in december of 95, a couple days later I got a c...

Without seeing it,I would say it is not.Remember that fan is going to try to drill a BIG hole in your radiator if it gets loose.

Well forgive the observation, but we tend to think the insurance companys are dumb as far as value. But they can also read on the internet. It would not surprise me at all that the adjuster might have done a google search before offereing a settlement and may even be checking this thread.

Re: What should salvage value be?
That car was worth more than 10 grand before it was hit,I can't see them getting out that cheap unless you get to keep the car.
I know with a neigbors toyoda truck, they offered 4600 and take it,or 3600 and he keep it. Engine was worth more than a grand so,he will probably keep and resale.

It can be done, just depends on your skills and the way you like best. Idealy a NOS crossmember with the right rivoting tools is the way to go but sometimes you don't have that option. Make for dang sure your radiator mounting holes are the exact measurement when welding is being done.Heat draws and ...
