Thank you for giving us a replacement for Chickasha. I am planning on coming, and I hope we can make the pre-war section as big as Chickasha was 10 years ago. There are still tons of people that enjoy the pre-war cars and trucks.

Hi. No buttons is correct for the 2nd half of 27. 26 did have buttons. Most people still want the buttons on their late 27s. Also, at Classtique Upholstery we sell the correct fabrics, fasteners, kits, and more.

Hi. This can be a tricky part on restorations because it varies a bit on that car. The hight in the center can be between 5" to 6.5". Most are around 5 3/8". The hobby is not dying. I know some things are becoming harder to find, but I am working hard to keep things available. I am currently working on fabrics that haven't been available and I'll work on more things after that.

I recommend getting the correct springs from Snyders. Better to do the job right the first time instead of having to do it again in a few years and wish you did it right the first time.

I've had good experiences with Classic Wood Products and Snyders Antique Auto for wood kits.

Here is a picture of one, but it isn't installed. The kick panels should be carpet, and the passenger should have a pocket. The carpet should be darker grey with black binding.

I don't have any made in the USA with the prongs, just the standard style. I send out gypsy wings very often. Mine don't come with the hooks or springs. It's very rare a customer even asks about the hooks or springs. I think people are getting those from Snyder's.

You are right about the flaps and piping Original Smith. I don't know of anyone making exact replicas of the original buckles. The ones on ebay are a scam. I've seen some crazy things people have used instead like belt buckles and washers.

Oh no! He was such a nice guy and an important person in the hobby. He was so happy to teach me and others new things about the Model T. This really stinks. I've been looking forward to seeing him at Chickasha this year. He will be missed big time!

Thank you for posting. I've been collecting so many of those fasteners and now I know the REAL names for the ones I didn't already know.
